Catwalk for Charity likes Hemingway and Blu Fords November 11, 2006

(Note: additional photos HERE)
Last night Gol invited me to a fabulous event in Hollywood. Catwalk for Charity hosted its first annual fashion show featuring some of the world’s greatest designers: Valentino, Pucci, Missoni, Li Cari and Blumarine benefiting Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. It took place at Raleigh Studios (originally was planned to be at Quixote Studios). The Opening Gala will kicked off the event with a silent auction, and Cocktail party, and was followed by an evening of couture fashion by the world renowned designers. The night was topped off with a bombshell performance by Blu Cantrell and cute little Akeisha. Sponsors included Hpnotiq, Ford Models, Karlee Management, Li Cari, Mac, Smashbox Cosmetics, Fiji Water, La Cachette Restaurant, Ortolan Restaurant, Airstar Space Lighting, and Medi Spas whose very own Rashel Pouri appeared in a dress I would kill innocent people for.

Style Network and I, (& the pushy paparazzi) were there to capture the event!
Most beautiful actress Mariel Hemingway and model daughter Dree were in attendance… Mariel looked AMAZING! I guess you can contribute it to her 20 yrs of yoga and zenful lifestyle!!! She recently published a memoir detailing her secrets!!! Check it out:

Other celebs included Michelle Stafford, Lorraine Smith, Marisol Nichols, Miriam Rodriguez, DJ Poet (of Black Eyed Peas), Apollonia, Tarina Tarantino, Jazmin Whitley, Cherise Bangs, Jason Graham, Brandi Veil, and Ken Sax.

Gol was running around making sure everything was perfect (as usual), as it was! (Gol is in a few of the pictures below, one is posing with her hubby who is wearing a white shirt).

The hair and makeup were stunning and everyone just looked fantastic.

In fact, everyone looked so good I couldn’t delete any of the pics!!! I put the other 200 up HERE.

Here’s a superstar dose:

This post, however off-topic it may be, is about Internet freedom. \”Network Neutrality\” — the First Amendment of the Internet — ensures that the public can view the smallest blog just as easily as the largest corporate Web site by preventing Internet companies like AT&T from rigging the playing field for only the highest-paying sites.

But Internet providers like AT&T, Verizon and Comcast are spending millions of dollars lobbying Congress to gut Net Neutrality. If Congress doesn\’t take action now to implement meaningful Net Neutrality provisions, the future of the Internet is at risk.

In the end game, only large companies will afford domains if the communications monopolies have their way with this. This of course isnt new news, but its coming to a head and blogs like this one will be a ghosttown unless all of us figure it our pretty darn quick. I wont post any links, but advise that if you value the internet, and blogs likw this one, that you search Google for \”Network Neutrality\” and educate yourself on this issue as it effects all of us.
